May 11, 2017 Now Windows assigns 'DMTB BDA TV USB', which unsurprisingly (because it's something related to televisions) doesn't know how to deal with MIDI data. I think the correct driver should be 'winmm.dll', and prior to Windows 10 Anniversary Update I'd been able to perform a rollback to that driver, (briefly) begin able to use my PC with midi again.
I have been searching these pages and it appears I need
the
EmagicUSBMIDIDriver.plugin
version 2, dated 2004-2007
I tried installing several times from the Logic 8 DVD but no luck in getting it to work (and I seem to remember I had version 1.5 on the mac in my studio located at different location as I am now)
so.. could / would anyone be so kind as to email me the
EmagicUSBMIDIDriver.plugin : 180K, version 2, dated 2004-2007
it's located in :
/Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers/
